Description
The aim of the tender is to select a standardised, up-to-date and sustainable IT solution for identity and access management that will be implemented for the Deutsche Bahn Group in various organisations for use across countries and business segments. For the IT system to be procured and implemented, the client strives for an IAM standard solution available on the market, which is already being used successfully in practice outside the client's business area. It is to be ensured that a mature and in practice tested purchase software is procured. The focus is on the "Allocation of authorizations to IT applications" process. Identity and access management in the DB Group ensures central administration of identities and access rights to different systems and applications. Authentication and authorization of users are central functions of identity and access management. The acting persons, i.e. employees, external specialists and partners who have access to the group data and can process it, must be identifiable in these contexts and it must be ensured that each individual in the digital area of the group is provided with the right access and access rights at the right time. The project thus aims to increase user comfort ("usability"), to increase administrative efficiency ("efficiency"), to increase information security ("IT security"), to automate processes for assigning rights and to ensure compliance with guidelines ("compliance"). The purchase software to be procured for an identity management solution serves to replace the internal inventory system iMan and KVD and is referred to by the customer as "IAM". The project of the same name, with a duration of 4-8 years, aims at procuring, installing and configuring the purchase software, implementing customer-specific extensions and integrating the entire IT system step-by-step into DB Systel's system landscape and taking it into regular operation.
