SBH | Schulbau Hamburg, as a state-owned enterprise of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg (hereinafter referred to as SBH), has the task of planning, building, maintaining and managing school properties in accordance with economic principles, taking into account school requirements, and of leasing the more than 400 schools to the Ministry of Schools and Vocational Training (BSB).

The school's capacity is to be increased to 5 pupils at the Trenknerweg 136 elementary school by constructing a new building (Building 08) and converting Buildings 01, 05 and 06. In addition, the sports hall (Building 03) and the classroom wing (Building 05) are to be renovated.
With the exception of the new building (multi-purpose hall, building 07), the school site is a listed building. Buildings 01 (administration building), 03 (sports hall) and 06 (current pre-school building) are single-storey.
The classroom buildings 04, 05 and the new building (multi-purpose hall, building 07) are two-storey.
To achieve the 5-storey capacity, around 656 m² of additional space is to be created by adding an extension next to the already constructed new building (Building 07). The classroom building 05 and the sports hall 03 (Seitz building) are to be fundamentally optimized in terms of energy efficiency as part of the planned refurbishment

The construction project involves the selective conversion of a section on the 1st floor in the listed building 04 on the school campus of the Trenknerweg elementary school (Trenknerweg 136, 22605 Hamburg). It is part of the overall project for the new construction, renovation and conversion of the Trenknerweg elementary school into a 5-stream school.
The building is located on the eastern edge of the school campus, the conversion measures are planned in the school kitchen to be converted on the 1st floor, as well as the associated ancillary rooms (Pumi + storage) in the western end of the building wing.
