Kreiskliniken Reutlingen GmbH (KKRT), whose sole shareholder is the district of Reutlingen, which - like KKRT - is a member of the local employers' association, operates the Klinikum am Steinenberg in Reutlingen, the Ermstalklinik in Bad Urach and the Albklinik in Münsingen with a total of 773 beds, around 2,300 employees, around 38,400 inpatients and 91,000 outpatients per year. With a few exceptions (e.g. heart surgery and transplantation medicine), the KKRT covers almost the entire range of medical services. The KKRT, with its operating facilities based on its specific layout and the health regulatory framework that is tightening for the two smaller hospitals (Ermstalklinik in Bad Urach and Albklinik in Münsingen), faces major challenges in a regionally intensive competitive environment. The current economic situation of KKRT and the earnings developments of recent years are of particular importance. In order to master the challenges facing the KKRT, taking particular account of the above-mentioned self-image of the KKRT, and to continue to offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care in the district of Reutlingen, the supervisory board of the KKRT and the district council of the district of Reutlingen have decided to have the business of the management of the KKRT handled for a defined period by a company with profound experience in the management of facilities comparable to the district clinics in Reutlingen. The management of KKRT is to be provided by the management company in the form of paid agency services, in particular:- the position of the management and,- the deployment of further qualified employees. It is intended to commission the management contract with a fixed term of 3 years plus an extension option of 2 years. the KKRT endeavours to maintain the current locations and, in close cooperation with the towns and municipalities in the care sector, the physicians practising there and the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung (KV), to secure and expand inpatient care in particular, but also cross-sector care for the benefit of the patients with the following focal points:- Securing the statutory care mandate with the aim of providing the best possible medical care for outpatients and physicians in the health care system. The management company is responsible for promoting the performance of the KKRT to the best of its ability within the framework of fulfilling its contractual obligations, taking into account the aforementioned guiding principles of the KKRT. The self-image of the KKRT is to be maintained while maintaining modern and needs-based medical care in accordance with the statutory provisions. At the same time, new results from research into the causes of diseases and the further development of new concepts for diagnostics and therapy - insofar as this is refinanced by the funding agencies - in the treatment and care of patients are to be guaranteed. In addition, further objectives for the management of the KKRT are:- the structural and organisational optimisation of the KKRT,- the further improvement and assurance of the medical and nursing quality of the KKRT,- the improvement of the profitability and liquidity of the KKRT.
