Redesign of archive and NAS storage environment of KV Nordrhein.
The KV Nordrhein operates a complex network of IT hardware, software and middleware in order to meet its objectives as well as its public mandate.disruptions to the IT environment always mean an impediment to KV Nordrhein operations and thus a threat to the performance and fulfillment of the assigned tasks.the KV Nordrhein pursues the strategy of operating a homogeneous IT environment in order to exclude technical incompatibilities or disproportionate technical difficulties in use and maintenance, as well as interface and compatibility problems, and to minimize possible risks.As part of the project "Redesign and Refresh Archive and NAS Storage Environment", KV Nordrhein is planning a redesign of the NAS storage environment with the establishment of a high-availability replication solution across 2 locations and the renewal of the existing archive storage system EMC2 Centera.The IT of the KV North Rhine relies on systems and solutions of the manufacturer "DellEMC" for all storage services.Subject of the tender:Hardware / Software:1. PowerScale systems: PowerScale F600 at the Düsseldorf location and PowerScale A200 at the Cologne location as well as extension of the maintenance contract for existing Infiniband switch,2. Superna Eyeglass management software,3. ECS systems (5x ECS EX300 nodes with 12x8TB HDD each at 2 locations).Commissioning/Service:Isilon/PowerScale systems:- Basic installation of the systems in the existing racks of the KV North Rhine at the locations Düsseldorf and Cologne,- Integration/adoption of the F600 systems in existing Isilon clusters of the KV North Rhine,- Basic configuration of the PowerScale A200 system at the location Cologne,- Execution of a BSI certified data erasure of the current Isilon cluster (9x x210 Nodes with a total of approx. 90TB capacity).ECS systems- ProDeploy PLUS includes basic installation of the systems in the existing racks of KV-Nordrhein at the Düsseldorf and Cologne locations as well as setting up the replication relationship between the two ECS systems,- data transfer of the existing Centera systems (currently approx. 5 TB) with migration protocol,- implementation of a BSI-certified data deletion of the existing Centera clusters (2 clusters consisting of 4 nodes each).Details and detailed configurations can be found in the tender documents, in particular the document description of services.
