SAIK’UZ FIRST NATION (the OWNER) INVITATION TO TENDER   Contract: Community Park Development   Reference No.: 615-018-03   Sealed tenders for a standard construction document CCDC-18 Unit Price Contract are invited by Saik’uz First Nation for the “Community Park Development” project.   A brief description of the Work includes supply and installation of:   Mobilization/demobilization; Earthworks; Decommissioning existing water & sanitary services and fencing; Driveway/parking lot excavation and embankment; Roadworks and associated base, subbase, and asphalt materials including geosynthetics; Line painting; Concrete walkways and graveled walkways, and associated base and subbase; Lot grading; Water and sanitary sewer servicing including appurtenances; Connections to existing infrastructure; Stormwater drainage ditching and culverts; Coordination with playground installation contractor (including excavation and preparation of subgrade, backfill, and restoration of disturbed areas of construction); Site lighting; Landscaping; Irrigation.   Tender Documents may be obtained from the office of R. Radloff & Associates, 1820 3rd Avenue Prince George, BC, V2M 1G4, upon payment of a non-refundable amount of $350.00 including GST payable to: R. Radloff & Associates   Tenders must be accompanied by both:   1.    A BID BOND, CERTIFIED CHEQUE OR IRREVOCABLE LETTER OF CREDIT in the amount of Ten (10%) percent of the tender price issued in favour of the OWNER, by a company licensed in British Columbia to provide construction bonding, securing the Tenderer’s commitment to enter into the CONTRACT if it’s Tender is accepted.   and   2.    A CONSENT OF SURETY, indicating that if the Tender is accepted, that the surety company will, within ten (10) days of the execution of the CONTRACT by the Tenderer, provide a 50% performance bond and a 50% labour and material payment bond, naming the OWNER as the obligee and the Tenderer as the principal under the said bonds.   Tenders can be submitted electronically via email to calderman@radloffeng.com or in a sealed envelope, clearly marked “Saik’uz First Nation – Community Park Development” Attention: Contract Administrator, and must be received at:   The office of R. Radloff & Associates, 1820 3rd Avenue, Prince George, BC, V2M 1G4   on or before the following date and time (the “Closing Time”):   Time:    3:00PM local time Date:    JULY 18, 2024.   The OWNER intends to open the Tenders in private, but reserves the right to open Tenders in public at its sole discretion.   If the information stipulated above is not enclosed with the tender at the time of opening, the tender will be rejected.   Late tenders will not be accepted or considered, and will be returned unopened.   Any changes to the Tender documentation will be issued by means of written Addenda and uploaded via BC Bid. All issued addenda will form part of the Tender.  No amendment of any kind to the Tender is effective unless it is issued as a formal written Addendum.  Copies of all Addenda must be included with the Tender submission, and the Tenderer will be deemed to have considered the information for inclusion in the Tender submitted.   The OWNER is under no obligation to accept the lowest or any offer submitted.  Saik’uz First Nation reserves, without restriction, sole discretion in determining best value and whether or not any offer received provides the necessary level of value to Saik’uz First Nation to result in the Award of a Contract.   The OWNER will not be responsible for any costs incurred by the Tenderers in preparing the Tender.
