The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board invites bids for the Pre-Qualification of General Contractors for Renovations, New Construction and Alterations throughout Board locations and School Sites.The purpose of the Request for Supplier Qualification ("RFSQ") is to solicit information from General Contractors with the intent of creating a Vendor of Record ("VOR") list of General Contractor companies for various estimated project categories. Once a VOR list is determined, a second bid process with additional bid processes with detailed specifications will be issued throughout the specified Pre-Qualification term set out in bid docments.This Request for Supplier Qualifications (RFSQ) is an invitation to solicit information from qualified General Contractors for Construction and Renovation services for the purpose of creating a Vendor of Record (VOR) list of General Contractors for various categories of projects. Once a VOR list is determined, it will be followed by a second bid process via the bidding system. The VOR list of General Contractors will be in effect from the date of award for a period of five (5) years - January 31, 2025 to January 31, 2030 based on satisfactory performance and annual submission of bid requirements.Please be informed that mere pre-qualification under this RFSQ will not impose any obligation of the Board to actually call upon any of the pre-qualified vendors to perform any services hereunder.The Vendors shall possess appropriate experience, qualifications, and demonstrated knowledge relative to the requires of this prequalification.  Successful VOR vendors should be mindful of the number of Projects and their firm’s ability to provide the described services within this RFSQ, as the Board will not accept VOR stating that they have exhausted its firm resources and cannot complete the project work.  It will be at the Board’s discretion to allow VOR's to bid on future work until such time that the VOR's have the resources to successfully complete the current project workload before awarding or assigning new projects to them.  The Board will review specifically, scheduling of trades, relationship with Owner and Authorities, successful timely completion of deficiencies and timely Total Completion and effectively executing change orders will be monitored.
