The Town of Essex is located in southwestern Ontario, approximately twenty-eight (28) kilometres southeast of the City of Windsor and is one of seven (7) lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The Town of Essex consists of four (4) distinct and unique Centres — Essex Centre, Colchester Centre, Harrow Centre and McGregor Centre. The current population of the Town of Essex is 21,216.The Town has a certain amount of property inventory located throughout the municipality comprised of various sizes with the opportunity for purchase and potential development or re-development. A new multi-year initiative is being undertaken to divest interest in lands the Town deems to be surplus. There may be a number of properties the Town chooses to sell on an annual basis. The Town also has various real estate holdings where commercial leasing opportunities exist.The Town is seeking proposals from qualified real estate brokerage firms for the provisions of Real Estate Brokerage Services related to the purchase, sale, and leasing of all types of real property. These property types may include, but are not limited to, vacant land, industrial, commercial, and residential.The successful Proponent(s) will be required to provide strategic advice, analysis, and a full range of services to evaluate, list, market, report on and present offers for the following categories on an as-needed basis:Category A – Commercial: the purchase, sale and leasing services of commercial properties;Category B – Industrial: the purchase, sale and leasing services of industrial properties;Category C – Residential: the sale of residential properties;Category D- All other property types not identified in Categories A-C.
