Please include the name and email of all persons (including subconsultants) who will be attending the information meeting.Brief Description of Work:The Regent Hotel, an 8-storey high-rise heritage building built in 1913, is located at 160 East Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC. The site measures approximately 50’-0” by 122’-0” with an area of +/- 6,100 square feet. The city of Vancouver has determined that the existing building was unsafe to occupy, resulting in the evacuation of residents, including in the CRU (Commercial Retail Unit) spaces. Each of seven (7) residential floors above ground has a floor plate area of 5385 Square feet with 23 rooms, the majority of which do not include a private bathroom. The project entails complete hazardous material abatement, structural rehabilitation, and renovation.The objective is to convert the existing single room occupancy into fully self-contained units of varying sizes as allowed by the City of Vancouver, to accommodate the most vulnerable, hard to house population. The Architect Prime consultant will collaborate with a Certified Hazmat Professional to conduct the hazardous material survey and/or review the available hazmat survey report, providing recommendations. Abatement work must be started immediately and can be done concurrently with the design work.The scope of work includes full Architectural consulting services, which are not limited to the deliverables and requirements as further set out in Appendix 8 Scope of Work.Estimated Design Timeline: Twelve (12) to Sixteen (16) months from the time of Award. Timeline may also depend on the Single Room Accommodation (SRA), Development permit (DP) and/or Building permit (BP) requirements.Your submission MUST be submitted using the following method:Your submission MUST be submitted electronically through BC Bid.
