Description

Research and Development Services in 6G technologies, within the framework of the Coordinated Project "Contribution on 6G for the deployment of satellite networks in the paradigm of non-terrestrial networks".
With the realization of the referred lot 1 of the contractual object, the contracting body intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Evaluate and quantify the capabilities of NTN architectures for the provision of functions and services foreseen for 6G. To this end, the contractor shall produce a scientific publication containing the scenario, the analysis process, the results of the analysis, a quantification of NTN architecture capabilities based on simulations and the conclusions. With the realization of the referred lot 2 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Security development of the satellite constellation orchestrator. To this end, the contractor shall prepare a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by such development, design a proposed solution in accordance with such requirements, and create a demonstrator showing the security aspects necessary to implement a unified orchestrator for terrestrial and non-terrestrial infrastructures. With the realization of the referred lot 3 of the contractual object, the contracting body intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities: Development of a flexible ISL device for heterogeneous satellites. To this end, the contractor must prepare a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by the developed device and design a solution, manufacture a prototype of the flexible ISL system, as well as perform a verification carried out with the demonstrator on the validity of the proposed solution and the manufactured prototype. With the realization of the referred lot 4 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Research oriented to the analysis related to the potential threats in the satellite systems. To this end, the contractor shall produce a document and a scientific publication containing the study of such threats, as well as a list of recommendations and potential solutions in the form of a technological roadmap. With the realization of the referred lot 5 of the contractual object, the contracting body intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities: Development of distributed security mechanisms for ISL, considering threats that affect the different scenarios of NTN network use cases. To this end, the contractor must prepare a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by such mechanisms, and develop a demonstrator of the proposed security solution that verifies the achievement of authentication, data integrity and confidentiality. With the realization of the referred lot 6 of the contractual object, the contracting body intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Research oriented to the study of the mechanisms applied to massive communications for an optimal exploitation of a service satellite link, defined as the interface between satellites and a large number of UEs. To this end, the contractor shall prepare a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by such mechanisms, develop a mass communication system demonstrator and produce a scientific publication presenting the results of the study and of the verification carried out with the demonstrator in a scenario representative of the object of the study. With the realization of the referred lot 7 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Research oriented to the study on energy saving modes of user equipment synchronized with satellites for an optimal use of energy resources. To this end, the contractor shall produce a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by such energy saving modes and a proposed solution, develop a demonstrator of the proposed energy saving mode and produce a scientific publication presenting the results of the study and of the verification carried out with the demonstrator in a representative scenario. With the realization of the referred lot 8 of the contractual object, the contracting authority intends to cover the following needs and/or functionalities:Development of a hardware system capable of virtualizing the payloads of the satellites. To this end, the contractor shall prepare a document presenting the technical requirements to be met by the flexible payload architecture together with a design proposal for the solution, and develop a hardware and software prototype in accordance with the proposed solution.
