Support for CCSDS MO SM&C standardization activities from 2024 to 2027.
The CCSDS (Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems) was set up in 1982 by the major space agencies of the day, to provide a forum for discussing problems encountered in the development and operation of space data systems. The CCSDS currently comprises 11 member agencies (including CNES), 32 observer agencies and more than 119 industrial associates. Since its creation, the CCSDS has developed standards for data and information systems, in order to promote interoperability and inter-agency support capabilities, enable multi-agency collaborations (planned or otherwise) and provide access to new functionalities for subsequent missions. In addition, standardization helps to reduce the cost of space missions by sharing the load between different agencies, as well as optimizing industrial costs.The services covered by the contract in question relate to support activities for the standardization of standards, between 2024 and 2027. These activities are described in the CCTP.
