Description

The present notice concerns the delegation of tasks for activities conducted by CNES for lot 4 - HYPERFREQUENCY and ANTENNAES of the Space Systems Engineering Purchasing Policy (PA ISS). The delegated tasks mainly concern activities of:- Study and development of subsystems or equipment on board space systems,- Study and development of models and ground means contributing to the development of on-board equipment,- Analysis of systems and architectures- Maintenance in operational conditions of the trade laboratories- Realization and exploitation of tests on the technical fields defined below.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUNDMicrowave: This lot 4 is mainly carried out within the framework of the activities of the microwave service (DTN/TPI/HY) whose mission is to participate in the architecture studies of payloads and radio frequency instruments. It defines and specifies the microwave equipment and subsystems (reception amplifiers, switching and routing equipment, microwave modulators and demodulators, power amplifiers, filters, etc.) used for space missions and monitors their production in industry. The main technical means of the microwave measurement laboratory are divided into two main families (software and hardware) according to the type of activity: - Software (design & simulation): the tools are made up of commercial software, as well as software developed internally by CNES or in collaboration with Universities or Institutions when specific problems are not dealt with by commercial software packages- Equipment (measurement & characterization): the microwave measurement laboratory has classical measurement equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, noise meter analyzers, synthesizers...) and specific means developed internally (NPR measurement bench, TWT characterization bench...).Antennas :The mission of the CNES antenna service (DTN/TPI/AN) is to participate in architecture studies of payloads and radio frequency instruments, to define and specify on-board or ground antennas used for space missions and to follow their realization in the industry, to carry out actions in support of the launcher activities of the DTS (formerly DLA), in particular for the supply of antenna diagrams on the Ariane, VEGA and Soyuz family, to improve the antenna modeling tools, to carry out measurements thanks to the Compact Antenna Measurement Base (BCMA), to propose and lead R&D actions, either internally or in research laboratories, to participate in the development of norms and standards (CCSDS, ECSS, ITU, etc.).Technical studies in antennas largely rely on calculation and dimensioning software, and their validation is often carried out by measurements on models thanks to the service's measurement means implemented by the agents assigned to the laboratory's operation. DESCRIPTION OF DELEGATED TASKSHyperfrequencyThe tasks delegated in the IPT/HY laboratories are as follows:- Updating and development of measurement/simulation software in Microwave).- Updating or development of measurement benches in Hyperfrequency.- Prototyping of microwave/digital/optical functions.AntennasThese tasks can be broken down into two profiles and consist of:- Conducting technical laboratory activities in antenna measurements. conducting antenna sizing activities in support of projects including those of the DTN. It is mainly the implementation (compilation, modifications, verification on test cases) of new software modules and antenna design using commercial software.
