Description
The Province, as represented by the Minister of Forests, through BC Wildfire Services (“BCWS”), invites Responses from Respondents to provide Danger Tree Specialist Services for wildfire response, as further described in section 3 of this RSA.Danger Tree Specialists are used for incident oversight for work site timber hazards, coordinating situations where other Danger Tree models apply including parks and urban interface. The Danger Tree Specialist will participate in briefings, debriefings and incident planning to communicate hazards to workers. The Danger Tree Specialist should have knowledge of safety in forestry activities and impacts of fire on trees, providing documentation of site assessments and risk assessment specific for the task being conducted in the forest environment. Respondents must propose a minimum of one (1) Danger Tree Specialist. Respondents may propose providing Services in more than one Fire Centre in their response provided that they have a Business Location in that Fire Centre. Respondents should note that Personnel identified in the Vendor Portal in respect of a Fire Center may not be listed in the Vendor Portal in respect of another Fire Center. Changes to the Personnel indicated in the Vendor Portal are subject to the terms and conditions of the Standing Arrangement.The Province intends to establish a Standing Arrangement with successful Respondents that meet all the requirements of the RSA.
