for Design Build of a Solar Electric PV System for Administration Center, Justice Center, and Highway Workshop
Ozaukee County, Official Notice
Proposals will be received by Ozaukee County Administration Center at its office 121 W Main Street, Port Washington, WI until 1:00 PM, CDT, on Thursday, November 14, 2024, for professional Design-Build services for construction of three separate Solar Electric PV Systems. This Request for Proposal is for three tilt-up rooftop mounted Solar PV Systems of 98 KW, 166 KW and 70 KW on Ozaukee County’s Administration Center, 121 W Main St, Port Washington, Justice Center, 1201 S Spring St, and Highway Workshop, 410 S Spring St, respectively, to include all engineering, labor, wiring, racking and other equipment needed for a complete installation. The anticipated award of this contract is November 21, 2024.
No pre-submittal meeting will be held.
A bid guarantee in the form of a certified check or bond payable without condition to Ozaukee County in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded, a proper contract and 100% payment & performance bond will be executed and filed within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid. If the Contractor fails to execute and file such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages.
No proposal shall be withdrawn after submitted without the consent of Ozaukee County for a period of sixty (60) days after the time of opening. Each Contractor agrees upon submission of a proposal that if the same be accepted within said time period, he/she shall be bound by the terms of acceptance hereinafter contained.
Proposer shall comply with the applicable federal and/or state laws regarding hours of labor and minimum wage rates. Ozaukee County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any technicality, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of Ozaukee County. The successful Contractor will be required to furnish a
Satisfactory payment & performance bond in the sum of the full amount of the contract.
All proposals must be sealed, addressed, and submitted to the Ozaukee County Administrator’s Office, 121 West Main Street, Port Washington, Wisconsin 53074. There shall appear on the envelope of each proposal, the name and address of the Contractor and purpose for which the proposal is intended.
The award to be let under this solicitation is between Ozaukee County and the most responsive and responsible bidder. Please refer to Solar Electric PV Systems on all correspondence relating to this project.
