Description
The purpose of the Société d'habitation et de développement de Montréal (SHDM) is to contribute to the economic and social development of the City of Montreal by developing real estate assets of a residential, institutional, industrial, commercial and cultural nature within its territory. The SHDM is a financially autonomous, non-profit, paramunicipal organization, mandated by the Ville de Montréal.
The SHDM is requesting bids, which must be received by the date and time indicated below, at the SHDM office located at 800, boulevard De Maisonneuve Est, bureau 2200, Montréal (Québec) H2L 4L8.

DESCRIPTION: The mandate consists of demolishing natural gas floor furnaces and water heaters, and installing electrical baseboards, water heaters and electrical panels. The mandate also includes modifying the electrical entrances at 3060 to 3276 rue de Rouen in Montreal.

GUARANTEE AND INSURANCE: The bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of 10% of the bid, valid for ninety (90) days. A performance bond and a surety bond for guarantees, materials and services, each in the amount of 50% of the value of the contract, as well as general liability insurance in the minimum amount of $5,000,000 and all-risk worksite insurance will be required upon award of the contract.

SITE VISITS: No site visits are planned as part of this call for tenders. In accordance with SHDM's Contract Management Policy, there will be no site visits with all bidders grouped together. To visit the site, you must make an appointment by e-mail at approvisionnement@shdm.org .
To be validly received, bid documents must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly identified with the project description and bid number.
Tenders received will be publicly opened at the SHDM office immediately after the expiry of the deadline set for their receipt.
Tender documents will be available in French only. Tenderers must have, at the time of submission of the tender, a business establishment in Quebec or in a territory covered by an intergovernmental market liberalization agreement applicable to this call for tenders and hold the appropriate licences issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec and a valid certificate issued by Revenu Québec.
SHDM does not undertake to accept the lowest or any of the bids received and assumes no obligation whatsoever towards the bidder or bidders.
