The possibility of entertainment through TV series and cinema films during the journey in the long-distance trains of DB Fernverkehr AG (DB F) is an important functionality and service in the ICE portal. DB F therefore intends to continue this entertainment service in all ICEs of DB F from the end of Q1 2021 and is hereby looking for a contractor for this moving image service. The object of this award is the provision of a completely developed video on demand streaming service (hereinafter "the Provider Service" or VoD) for all current web browsers as well as content for this by a contractor. In addition, the contractor shall assume responsibility for content handling, including rights clearance, and provide editorial services and marketing support. The provider service is to be rolled out to all train passengers of the existing and future ICE trains from Q1 2021 onwards on these ICE trains. The provider service will be available and usable as follows: If a user activates the Wi-Fi functionality on his terminal (mobile phone, tablet, laptop, etc.), he will be directed to a homepage of the ICE Intranet Service called "ICE Portal" after accepting the General Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Wlan. This ICE portal is accessible for travellers via the Wlan in 1st as well as 2nd class free of charge and unlimited. When the traveller clicks on the offer "VoD", the traveller is directed to the offer. The provider service shall consist of only one area, namely a free area for the traveller with corresponding sub-pages. Within the teaser area, the traveller shall have unlimited, free access to the content of the moving image. An optional, voluntary login with a Bahn ID SSO is in the planning stage. The required product components must be implemented taking into account high-speed traffic and the requirements for availability, transmission speed and stability of the Internet availability as well as the technical conditions in the ICE. Services can be outsourced to subcontractors.
