Description

The contracting authority for Lot 1 (Stadtwerke Schwäbisch Hall GmbH) received an official decision on 16 May 2019 on its application of 11 April 2019 within the framework of the Directive on Subsidies for the Development of Broadband in the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Government Subsidies Directive) on a provisional grant for an operator model in accordance with No. 3.2 of the Federal Government Subsidies Directive. Under the aided measure, approximately 36.50 km of civil engineering are planned. Approx. 105.00 km of glass fibre and approx. 74.60 km of empty pipes will be newly created. These measures serve to develop approx. 237 retail customers with bandwidths of at least 1 Gbit/s symmetrically. The technology used is FTTB development. At the end of the construction work, 100 % of the specified connections in the project area are to be supplied symmetrically at 1 Gbit/s or more. In addition, reference is made to the Annex Project Description Lot 1 of the tender documents, which also shows the number of FTTB connections via the NGA network, the network structure, the backbone connection and the current demand and supply situation. The location of the NGA network as well as the project area can be seen from the attached Annex Overview Plan Lot 1 of the tender documents. The project area comprises the towns of Altenhausen, Veinau, Ramsbach, Matheshörlebach, Ottenbach and Wolpertsdorf in the town of Schwäbisch Hall as well as the town of Bühlerzimmern in the district of Braunsbach. The contracting authority for Lot 2 (municipality of Braunsbach) received an official decision on 5 April 2019 on its application of 13 March 2019 within the framework of the Directive on Subsidies for the Development of Broadband in the Federal Republic of Germany (Subsidy Directive of the Federal Republic of Germany) on a provisional grant for an operator model in accordance with No. 3.2 of the Subsidy Directive of the Federal Government. Under the aided measure, approximately 20.50 km of civil engineering are planned. Approx. 103.00 km of glass fibre and approx. 75.00 km of empty pipes will be newly created. These measures serve to develop approx. 315 end-users with bandwidths of at least 1 Gbit/s symmetrically. The technology used is FTTB development. At the end of the construction work, 100 % of the specified connections in the project area are to be supplied symmetrically at 1 GBit/s or more. In addition, reference is made to the Annex Project Description Lot 2 of the tender documents, which also shows the number of FTTB connections via the NGA network, the network structure, the backbone connection and the current demand and supply situation. The location as well as the project area of the NGA network can be seen from the attached annex to the overview location plan Lot 2 of the tender documents. The project area comprises the villages of Tierberg, Zottishofen, Orlach, Elzhausen, Rückertshausen, Braunoldswiesen, Arnsdorf, Reisachshof, Rückertsbronn and Hertlingshausen in the municipality of Braunsbach.
