The Centre de services scolaire des Phares wishes to obtain sealed bids to retain the services of a contractor to carry out repairs to the boiler room, sanitary blocks and other work at the Cheminots-de L'Envol school, located at 24 rue du Couvent, Métis-sur-Mer, province of Quebec.
DOCUMENTATION AVAILABLE :
As of April 11, 2024 , any person or company may obtain tender documents only through the SÉAO electronic tendering system ( www.seao.ca or 1-866-669-7326) .
TENDER GUARANTEE :
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security representing ten percent ( 1 0%) of the total amount of the bid excluding all applicable taxes, in the form of an irrevocable letter of guarantee or a bid bond issued by a financial institution that is an insurer holding a licence issued in accordance with the Insurance Act ( R. L.R.Q., c. A-32 .1) authorizing it to practice surety insurance, a trust company licensed under the Act respecting trust companies and savings companies ( R.R.Q., c. S-29.01), a financial services cooperative governed by the Act respecting financial services cooperatives ( R. L.R.Q., c. C-67.3) or a bank within the meaning of the Bank Act (S.C., 1991, c. 46), failing which the bid will be automatically rejected.
SITE VISITS :
Since visits are scheduled at different locations, BIDDERS must familiarize themselves with the visit schedule available in the appendix (see General Conditions). This schedule specifies the visit periods for each location and the contact details of the person responsible for making appointments.
RECEIPT AND OPENING :
All bids must be received at the Centre de services scolaires des Phares Administrative Center, Material Resources Department, located at 435 avenue Rouleau, Rimouski, Quebec G5L 8V4, on May 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. . TENDERS will be publicly opened, in the presence of a witness, at the location indicated in clause 1.07.10, immediately following the time and date set for the receipt of TENDERS. BIDDERS may attend the Bid opening. Any Bid received after this time will be automatically rejected.
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT :
This public tender is subject to the following intergovernmental agreements: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA) and Agreement on Trade and Cooperation between Quebec and Ontario ( ACCQO ) .
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Only contractors holding, where applicable, the license required under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B-1.1) will be considered for the contract. Tenderers are responsible for the selection of subcontractors, both in terms of their solvency and the content of their tender.
