Description

You should be able to deliver recommendations and input to the relevant planning and regulatory documents for 3 identified work packages.

You will be expected to support the government to:

- develop and implement a medium-long term vision for distributed small-scale Solar Photovoltaic (PV) support mechanisms, in particular net metering and billing
- design a suitable quality assurance mechanism for solar PV and solar water heaters, taking into account costs and benefits of potential schemes
- examine land-use requirements for small-scale solar PV and adjust in line with international best-practice (including new guidelines, permits, environmental and social considerations)
- examine appropriate incentives for promoting projects on problematic areas

The expected outcome is to improve the legislative and regulatory framework for small-scale renewable energy in the commercial sector.
