MUNICIPALITY OF SAINTE-JUSTINE
REHABILITATION OF UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE - MAIN STREET
Project description :
The Municipality of Sainte-Justine wishes to receive tenders for the rehabilitation of underground infrastructure on a section of Main Street, between Sainte-Anne Street and Chabot Street, including the installation of drinking water pipes, domestic and storm sewers, hydrants, valves and manholes and the construction of curbs. The work extends over a little over 235 metres. The project also includes the construction of curbs on both sides of Main Street on a section of approximately 530 metres to the west from Sainte-Anne Street.
Particularities of the project:
The Municipality of Sainte-Justine will take charge of part of the work presented in the plans. The plans include annotations that specify the scope of the work to be performed by the contractor. Prior to the Contractor's arrival for the start of his work, the Municipality will have carried out the following work:
1. Spraying of asphalt mix between civic no. 139, rue Principale (chaining 0+010) and rue Chabot (chaining 0+430). The spray residue will be left in place on Principale Street between Sainte-Anne Street and Chabot Street and must be removed and disposed of at the site planned by the Municipality and the Contractor when the work is carried out.
2. Removal of the sidewalk on the north side of Main Street between Lapointe Street and Chabot Street (chaining 0-430).
3. The installation of the temporary drinking water distribution network between civic no. 139, rue Principale (chaining 0-010) and rue Chabot (chaining 0-430).
4. The installation of all infrastructures (water and sewer pipes, manholes, catch basins, valves, hydrants, service connections, etc.) between chaining 0-000 to Sainte-Anne Street (chaining 0-190).
5. Construction of the MG-20 surface pavement foundation between civic no. 139, rue Principale (chaining 0+010) and rue Sainte-Anne (chaining 0-190).
In addition, the Municipality will provide all the materials necessary to carry out the work (manhole, pipes, valves, elbows, harnesses, service connections, sump, frames and covers, etc.) The Contractor must therefore go to the materials depot located at the municipal garage (167 Route 204, Sainte-Justine) to collect and transport the materials to the work site.
The final paving of the roadway will be handled by the Municipality.
Submission of bids: Sealed envelope bids marked "Bid - Underground Infrastructure Rehabilitation" must be received at the municipal office located at 167, route 204, Sainte-Justine de Bellechasse (Québec) G0R 1Y0 no later than April 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. (EST), date and time of public opening.

The Municipality is not liable for the fact that written notices or documents conveyed by electronic means are incomplete or contain any error or omission whatsoever. Consequently, all bidders must ensure, before bidding, that they obtain all the documents related to this call for tenders. The Municipality does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the bids received.
