Description
Project Title: RDMA Boiler Room Envelope Rehabilitation - D'Youville Hospital and Residential Centre
Public body: CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS
Project Facility: D'Youville Hospital and Residential Centre located at 1036 Belvedere Street South, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1H 4C4
Nature of Work: This project includes, but is not limited to, architectural, civil engineering and concrete structure work as well as minor building mechanical work. It consists of replacing the windows and roof of the boiler room building and repairing the tunnel linking the boiler room to the main building of the D'Youville Hospital and Residential Centre. The tunnel is approximately 55 metres long and its repair will require, among other things, excavation, reinforced concrete placement, waterproofing and several civil engineering works including parking facilities, drainage and asphalt paving. The work is scheduled to be completed this year.
Work completion time: 14 weeks
The Project Manager, CIUSSS de l'Estrie - CHUS, having its head office at 375 Argyll Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1J 3H5, is requesting bids for the construction of the project in title.

Only contractors with a business office in Quebec or a province or territory covered by the Agreement on Trade and Cooperation between Quebec and Ontario (ACCQO), the Agreement on the Liberalization of Government Procurement of Quebec and New Brunswick (AQNB) and/or the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and holding the required licence under the Building Act are eligible to bid.
A contractor holding a restricted licence issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec or registered in the register of companies not eligible for public contracts (RENA) and whose period of ineligibility for public contracts has not ended, is not eligible to submit a bid; these two cases of ineligibility are also applicable to the bidder's subcontractors.
Bidders are responsible for selecting subcontractors, both for their creditworthiness and the content of their bids; and must inform them of the conditions they intend to impose on them and ensure that they hold the required permits and licences.

Information visit:
During the tendering period, the Project Manager will organize an information visit to the D'Youville Hospital and Residential Centre: 1036 Belvédère Street South, Sherbrooke, Quebec J1H 4C4, meeting point: boiler room building - entrance via Belvédère Street, June 11, 2019 at 2:00 p. m.
During these visits, representatives of the Project Manager will answer questions from bidders. All bidders, contractors and subcontractors will be considered to have visited the site and no claims for lack of knowledge of the site may be submitted or accepted.
The Project Manager does not undertake to accept either the lowest or any of the bids received.
