Description

As the responsible authority, the administrative district of Kelheim is tendering the transport services of the line "KEXI" in the city of Kelheim and the municipality of Saal/Danube in the near vicinity as so-called "on-demand transport" on the basis of an atypical regular service according to § 2 para. 6 in connection with § 42 PBefG with effect from 1.3.2020.The aim of the service is to offer people in the city of Kelheim and the near vicinity mobility according to their needs. For this purpose, people's travel requests are collected and dispatched with the help of an intelligent route system. This service is called "ridesharing" and is therefore not subject to a static timetable. The advantage is that rides are bundled and the on-demand vehicles carry out the rides in real time, i.e. in ridesharing, supply and demand are mediated via a platform using GPS-supported software in a defined operating area during the operating hours. A trip request is usually submitted via MobilityApp (provided by the district) and an algorithm determines the optimal driver in real time. The transport of passengers with similar routes can be bundled.according to the current state of planning and taking into account a household survey and the utilisation forecast from this, among other things, the service to be awarded from 1.3.2020 will have a maximum annual timetable capacity (useful kilometres) of approx. 130 thousand kilometres per year.the contract has a term of 3 years [and can be extended by the client for a further 2 years => option 1].2 vehicles are initially planned for the provision of the service. Within the first 12 months of the contract period, the client can order the use of an additional vehicle => Option 2]In the regular operation of the "on-demand traffic", 2 minibuses and/or cars with at least 7 passenger seats are to be used, one of which is for the transport of prams and/or wheelchairs (incl. and if necessary The transport company will apply the current KEXI tariff, including the General Conditions of Carriage, exclusively and in full.
