Germany - Public tender according to UVgO, EVB-IT service contract, VOL/B: Feasibility studies for cloud solutions

Description

The German Centre for Higher Education and Science Studies (DZHW) is a research institute funded by the German federal and state governments and based in Hanover and Berlin. The DZHW is an international centre of excellence for university and science research. It collects and analyses data, provides research-based services for university and science policy and provides the scientific community with a research infrastructure in the field of university and science research, in particular via the DZHW Research Data Centre (fdz DZHW). Since 01.06.2017, the FDZ of the DZHW has been a regular enterprise financed on a basic basis by the Federal Government (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) and the Länder and operates according to the criteria of the Council for Social and Economic Data (RatSWD). The FDZ of the DZHW was accredited by the RatSWD in December 2017.
In the past, DZHW has developed various software systems to support data collection and data analysis. These systems are constantly being further developed by DZHW and operated in cooperation with external service providers. As the requirements regarding development speed, flexibility, security and data protection for these systems continue to increase, DZHW intends to modernize the development infrastructure, the operational infrastructure and the data analysis infrastructure over the next few years.
As a first step, the DZHW is now seeking support in carrying out the following feasibility studies within the framework of this call for tenders, which will be awarded as individual lots (described in detail below):
