Description

Award of public service contracts for local rail passenger transport services on the RE 30 Wolfsburg Hbf - Hannover Hbf and RE 50 Wolfsburg Hbf - Braunschweig Hbf - Hildesheim Hbf - Elze (Han) lines.
The public services to be awarded in local rail passenger transport (SPNV) comprise the lines RE 30 Wolfsburg Hbf - Hannover Hbf and RE 50 Wolfsburg Hbf - Braunschweig Hbf - Hildesheim Hbf - Elze (Han). The SPNV services are to be provided at least in the period from the timetable change in December 2025 to the timetable change in December 2038. The contracting authorities have the right to unilaterally extend the term of the contract and thus the service period by up to two timetable years (extension option). The SPNV services have a total scope of approx. 2,900,000 train kilometers/year in operating stage 1 and approx. 3,100,000 train kilometers/year in operating stage 2. If the option half-hourly service Braunschweig - Hildesheim is exercised, the scope of services will increase by approx. 130,000 train kilometers/year.The services are to be provided with the existing electric multiple units used in the existing network and with newly procured electric multiple units from the vehicle pool of Regionalbahnfahrzeuge Großraum Braunschweig GmbH, in each case using the existing manufacturer-based maintenance.
