Description

The Queensland Government has provided funding of $500,000 per annum (ex GST) over four years to help support this cohort of victims with counselling and practical support (this excludes financial support) . VAQ is seeking to engage a supplier with expertise in the provision of state-wide service delivery (including face to face, telephone and online counselling/case management) to support victims of non-violent property crime. These services would  include providing therapeutic counselling and  information, advice and referral to other relevant organisations where appropriate.
The service will be available to victims of non-violent property crime anywhere in Queensland .   Victims  will be able to access the service during normal weekday office hours, although consideration should also be given to making after-hours access available.  Information, advice, referral and psychological first aid should be provided for all victims referred to the service at the first point of contact.  Victims requesting therapeutic counselling would be offered diarised appointments for counselling sessions.
