Description
The project main outputs are:
- to install a 125 MW/160 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in the central energy system (CES) of Mongolia
- to strengthen the capacity of the National Dispatching Centre (NDC) to handle power dispatch and grid operations and of the National Power Transmission Grid (NPTG)
- to strengthen the Mongolian gender action to operate and maintain the BESS sustainably
The BESS installation will be carried out by an engineering, procurement and construction contractor.
You will need to support the Executive Assistant, Information Architect and Project Management Unit during project implementation and to assist them in the project management, including:
- design audit and construction supervision of the work
- issue of necessary progress reports and payment certificates
- social and environment impact monitoring
- general project management
You will also be required to assist with the capacity strengthening of the:
- Ministry of Education
- NPTG
- NDC
The contract is estimated to cost $1.76 million including taxes and duties.
You will be expected to deliver the study and survey outputs:
- development of ancillary service rule and guideline
- development of operations and maintenance regulations of BESS
- gender policy, capacity, and surveys
- knowledge products/ dissemination
