Description

The goals of the re-engineering are the implementation of the technically necessary adjustments (version adjustment Oracle as well as the other technical structure components) as well as the change of the technical workflow while retaining the database stored to date.
The VS-Nachweis database (VS-NWDB) has been in active operation at the Federal Archives since 2013 as a special specialist application with a restricted internal and external user group. The database provides information on the status of the so-called "Alt-VS", which were classified as classified information before 1 January 1995 and are to be examined in accordance with the Cabinet decision of 16 September 2009 and only extended in justified exceptional cases. The database itself is not classified, as it only contains descriptive metadata without the possibility of file-related, content-related conclusions.Due to the great importance of the VS evidence database (data integrity in the VS area, technical availability), a re-engineering (VS-NWDB NEW) has been carried out since it went into operation in 2013, taking into account, among other things, the present technical developments. The goals of the re-engineering are the implementation of the technically necessary adjustments (version adjustment Oracle as well as the other technical structure components) as well as the change of the technical workflow under retention of the up to now stored database.
