Description

The workwear market must be carried out taking into account the environmental impacts likely to be generated by the manufacture of clothing in order to prevent these impacts and the risks they pose both to the environment and to the health of those involved in the manufacture of clothing. Applicants shall provide evidence that the fabric manufacturing units have appropriate facilities and/or that the manufacture of garments as a whole limits certain hazardous substances. Requirements for persons wearing the garments relate to compliance with the laws and regulations in force setting limit values for the content of dangerous substances in textile products and, on the other hand, to acidity, formaldehyde, heavy metals, chlorinated phenols, phthalates, dyes. In addition, no biocidal products which may be active during the use of the products proposed by the applicants shall be applied to them.
