Nature and scope of the service
The Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) will publish a brochure on April 29, 2025 to announce its offerings for the 2025/2026 season. It provides information about programs and artists, subscriptions and concert tickets and provides detailed information about the orchestra's activities. The object of the contract is the printing, finishing, binding, packaging, delivery and storage of the 2025/2026 season brochure with accompanying folded poster, which is inserted into the brochure. The print run for both products is 18,000 copies.

Paper 1 (168 pages): 100 g/m² Arena White Smooth
Paper 2 (8 pages): 100g/m² Maxigloss
Paper 2 finishing: High-gloss varnish (only on Maxigloss sheets)
Printing: 4/4-color (scale / scale)
Processing: Adhesive binding

Cover
Format: Closed 125 x 205 mm
Number of pages: 8 pages (front & back each with a flap. 6-fold creased)
Paper: 300 g/m² Maxigloss
Print: 4/4-color
Finishing: Blind embossing of the logo on the cover, glossy foil lamination
Finishing: Trimmed flush on 3 sides, flaps slightly protruding

Object 2 (folded poster): Technical requirements
Format: open 600 x 328 mm; closed 110 x 200 mm
Processing: Fold 2x parallel, then 2x spiral fold
Paper: 100 g/m²Maxigloss
Printing: 4/4-color (scale / scale), printed on both sides
Insertion: in seasonal brochure at unspecified position

Other requirements
Print run: 18,000
Packaging: in cardboard boxes
Delivery: expected. 13.04.2025 initially 10,000 copies, expected. 27.04.2025 a further 5,000 copies, remainder as required, May 2026 at the latest
Storage: in Berlin
Data delivery: Print-ready final files will be delivered as a print pdf
Miscellaneous: 1 x press proof on Maxigloss; stand/form proof free to an address in Berlin

Further requirements and criteria for awarding the contract
Climate-neutral production of the print product (climate protection certificate) is required. In addition to the price design, the quality of the provider in the area of brochure printing is decisive for the award of the contract (e.g. printing, cutting, color, binding). Three reference products and clients, preferably from the cultural sector, must therefore be named and one of the reference products (max. A4 size) must be sent by post to the address stated under a) within the deadline. Please note: The reference product will only be returned if explicitly requested.
