Description

The present construction project is located on the GO! site Ruggeveld. This site is cut in half by the Ruggeveldlaan, which is spatially divided into: - Campus Rivierenhof: recently renovated CVO building and planned new primary school De Pientere Piste- Campus Groot Schijn: present project siteThe ambition is to develop the campus Groot Schijn into a contemporary and progressive STEM campus. To show this ambition, we prefer to talk about STrEaM:- STEaM: STEM + doctor - STrEaM: STEM + doctor + resiliance We want to train students in STEM with a creative touch. In addition to knowledge, the ambition is to prepare these pupils for the 21st-century Antwerp labour market. Resilience stands for the right attitude and attitude of these employees of the future. This name also stands for flow and lifelong learning. This project, together with a new sports hall (in collaboration with the city of Antwerp), forms the first phase of the development of this campus. At a later stage, the aim is to replace the old workhouse, as well as to introduce third party partners in order to make the actual link with the labour market.
