Description
The City of Mississauga requires multiple suppliers for City-wide turf and horticulture restoration and maintenance services for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Maintenance will include turf and horticulture features within road allowances throughout the City. There are approximately 30 hectares of turf to maintain city-wide, along with approximately 45,700 m2 of horticulture features spread across roughly 400 features. In addition, other services will be required of the successful bidder, including but are not limited to; watering, planter planting, annual planting, restoration and creation of features, soil and seed of various turf areas, hard surface trimming, mulching, bulb planting, paver maintenance, litter picking, rough cuts and the loading of various materials into City or Region walking floor trailers and other vehicles used to transport materials.To be considered for award, Bidders must be able to demonstrate that:The bidder must be readily available to undertake Contract requirements.The bidder must demonstrate it has undertaken, within the last three (3) calendar years and/or current year, similar projects of scope and size. At least one (1) reference must be from a municipality or other government body. Bidders are to complete the applicable Schedules in the City’s e-bidding system accordingly.The bidder must acknowledge they have not been charged with a violation of the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) or Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA), have not been in default of contract requiring surety involvement, and are not in bankruptcy proceedings, by completing the table within the City’s ebidding system.The Bidder must demonstrate it has a minimum of five (5) years experience in the last ten (10) years, servicing account(s) with similar scope and size of the City or larger. Bidders are to complete the Reference Schedule in the City’s ebidding system.The Bidder must have specific experience with contracts involving working at heights.Bidders must be a member in good standing with Landscape Ontario, for at least the last two years. In addition to the above general requirements, Bidders must ensure that their employees meet qualifications and their vehicles and equipment comply with requirements as stated in SOW.
