New construction project of the Federal Government - GNUENew construction of accommodation for the Federal Police - Fuhlendorf air force squadron at the Gifhorn site (BPOL FLS FUD), performance profile Buildings, Lph 3 (installation of EW-Bau) with option of further commissioning of Lph 5-8.After the arrival of several hundred Federal Border Guard officers in March 1959, the Gifhorn site went through an eventful history: closed in 1999, reactivated in 2005. In April 2007, the decision was made to close it down permanently. In 2012, the user department of the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) decided to maintain the service location with the base of the Federal Police Air Squadron in Gifhorn in the long term. As a result, initial modernization measures, such as renewal of the hangar apron, refueling system and guard building, were initiated. At the same time, property not required by the Federal Police was returned to the owner (Bundesanstalt für Immobilien-aufgaben - BImA) and sold by it. In a letter from the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks (BImA), the decision document on construction (ES-Bau) for the construction project "New accommodation for the Fuhlendorf Federal Police Air Squadron (BPOL FLS FUD) at the Gifhorn base" was submitted to the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI) for construction approval and the setting of a cost ceiling. The property is part of the Einheitliches Liegenschaftsmanagement (ELM) and therefore owned by the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA). The object of the construction project is the new construction of the service building, a hangar for police helicopters with a new tower, a motor vehicle hall and the preparation of the existing helicopter hall for special operations, including the expansion of the hall apron. This is intended to create the conditions for the additional tasks to be performed by the Fuhlendorf Federal Police at the Gifhorn base, which are accompanied by additional space requirements and an increase in personnel. The conversion of the property will take place during unrestricted service and flight operations of the Federal Police (BPOL).For the construction measure, the basic urban development concept was determined by the parties involved on the basis of various variants. The approved ES-Bau planning shows a need for optimization in the communication of architecture and building culture. In addition to the architectural concept for the building plot to be developed, statements on further contents, such as elementary construction, building logistics, expansion potentials, as well as proposals for the optimized implementation of the building measure (time schedule) are to be submitted. A design concept including a path and guidance system is to be developed for the entire service property.
