Description

The objective of the tender is to advance a full project duration framework contract with an aviation company to develop, manufacture and certify aircraft modifications for the integration of an electric propulsion system into a Do228-200 commuter class aircraft. A Do228-200 must be modified so that the electric drive and electric hybrid drive can be demonstrated on one engine while retaining the original turbo prop engine on the opposite side. The modified Do228 Engine demonstration project is called Do228hep. All project management and technical coordination meetings take place on site at DLR. The size of the engineering workstation is freely determined by the contractor. However, it must be ensured that for coordination purposes at least 5 engineers must be at Oberpfaffenhofen aerodrome for at least 4 days during the working week. All mechanical integration work on the aircraft must be carried out on site in DLR's aircraft hangar. DLR concludes a framework agreement with the suitable bidder/applicant for the entire duration of the project and, within the framework of this framework agreement, the work packages/services required in each case are called up individually in the form of an order under the applicable conditions of the framework agreement.
