The Corporation of the City of St. Catharines is inviting tenders from prequalified bidders for Morningstar Mill - Dam Reconstruction and Grist Mill Upgrades. Scope of work includes:.1 Reconstruction of the existing dam..2 Replace existing horizontal penstock..3 Replace existing wooden water inlet..4 Construction of retaining wall..5 Construction of viewing area adjacent to the dam, including stairs, guards and handrails..6 Connection from bridge to viewing area..7 Install new limestone screenings..8 Grist Mill masonry re-pointing, masonry repairs and paint repairs..9 Replace shingles on Miller’s house roof..10 Repair Miller’s house foundation and water proof the basement..11 Replace shingles on Sawmill roof. There will be a mandatory pre-bid site meeting at 2714 Decew Road, on March 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET.
