Germany - New creation of 7 small water bodies for amphibians and redesign of 7 water bodies/ ditches

NABU Niedersachsen e.V. intends to award construction services according to VOB/A for the construction of small waters for amphibians within the framework of its Life Nature Project Auenamphibien (LIFE14/NAT/DE/000171). In the years 2016 to 2023 a total of approx. 300 small water bodies are to be created in 10 project areas in Lower Saxony. These construction works will be awarded through several tendering procedures.

Place of execution:
District Grafhorst, district Helmstedt and district Kaiserwinkel, district Gifhorn
Project area NABU 9
- New plant of 7 small waters in a size of 495 to 750 m², depth approx. 0.7 to 1.2 m with the excavator.
- Redesign of 7 water bodies/trenches, partly with ground transport up to 300 m.
- Transport and levelling or spreading of 1,400 m³ of excavated material over 0.5 to 6.0 km.
Further information:
- The construction sites can be reached via farm roads.
- The construction measures take place on nature conservation areas on partly difficult subsoil (fen).
