Description

Framework agreement for the purchase, supply and installation of network infrastructure components (IT infrastructure) with support and update services
Framework agreement for the supply and installation of network infrastructure components (IT infrastructure) with support and update servicesThe IOM, with its 11 buildings, plans to renew the existing network infrastructure consisting of 25 switches from Allied Telesis within four years. This concerns both the hardware and the integration into the existing NAC (Clearpass) and monitoring (Zabbix) solution. Updates and support are part of the framework agreement. There are also plans to equip all 11 buildings with WLAN access points as an option. HPE Aruba Core Switch infrastructure including the associated management tools and HPE Clearpath as the NAC solution are currently in use.In the WLAN area, HPE Aruba APs are also used, which are managed with the HPE Aruba Airwave solution. Therefore, the counterpart tender represents an extension of the existing network environment and is product-tailored to the respective components that are currently in use or their direct successors. This ensures, among other things, that these can be optimally integrated into the existing system and that no new integrations have to be made. In the case of new integrations, it is not possible to ensure that they are compatible with each other, which is why the mandatory technical compatibility is guaranteed by a product-specific invitation to tender. Uniform administration and management is required, particularly in the security-relevant network area. If network infrastructure components from different manufacturers are procured, optimum functionality and compatibility of the core switches to be procured and of the Clearpath management cannot be guaranteed, which can lead to faulty functionality of the entire network structure. By procuring the network infrastructure from one manufacturer, it can be ensured that all IT infrastructure components function optimally together and that all security-relevant aspects are fulfilled. The framework agreement is therefore concluded for four years. The call-off from the framework agreement takes the form of an individual order. More details can be found in the service description.
