Description
Supply of approx. 170 million kWh/a natural gas for the operation of the KIT on Campus North. There, large in-house generators are installed. Procurement is in the form of exchange products. The Campus East in Karlsruhe is to be supplied as well.
Approx. 170 million kWh of natural gas in futures and spot market products are to be procured and delivered annually, procured in tranches and invoiced monthly. The forecast risk lies with the supplier. The forecast is supported by KIT. For Campus North, the gas is supplied via the high-pressure pipeline of Open Grid Europe. Campus East is supplied by the distribution network in Karlsruhe. The gas is used by the heating load and also for the trial operation of large CHPs.
