Germany - Municipal service vehicle for use in engineering and bridge construction

Description

The engineering and bridge construction department is planning to purchase a new municipal service vehicle based on a van (manufacturer-independent).
The vehicle dimensions are defined in the specifications. Due to the height of an employee, special dimensions must be taken into account:
Interior dimensions for employees (size 2.0 m) :
For the driver and co-driver, the seat height measured from the driver's seat/co-driver's seat support should not be less than 90 cm from the roof lining as head clearance.
The distance from the seat backrest to the steering wheel should not be less than 83 cm.

The vehicle moves off the beaten track in some areas, so it must be suitable for off-road use (permanent all-wheel drive).
The vehicle must have a rigid trailer coupling, as the unbraked service trailer and the boat trailer for the work boat must be towed. The following must therefore be observed:
Maximum permissible gross combination weight of 5,500 kg with a payload of at least 650 kg and a drawbar load of at least 100 kg, a permissible trailer load of 2500 kg braked and 750 kg unbraked
