Description

The Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue is organizing a multidisciplinary
competition in two (2) stages as part of the construction project for the expansion of the
of the Rouyn-Noranda Campus. The new building will be located on the same lot as the existing facility
built in 1996 and its 2012 expansion, at 445 boulevard de l'Université in Rouyn-
Noranda. This pavilion will be directly linked to the existing building. The project will be divided into four sectors.
The community hall will bridge the gap between the existing building and the new one, which will include an
interdisciplinary teaching and research clinic, the Unité d'enseignement et de recherche (UER)
(UER) in Health Sciences, which will account for the majority of the built space. A
administrative area will complete the program, with a total surface area to be built of 2,860
square meters. The construction budget is in the order of $21.1 million (before taxes). The aim of the
competition is to select the best project and commission the winning team to carry it out.
Each university has its own unique characteristics, which are closely linked to its mission
and the history of its development. UQAT, for example, is unquestionably distinguished by its
development model based on a "faire ensemble" approach, i.e., doing things for,
by and with the community. It is with this approach in mind that UQAT is hereby issuing a call for applications
