Description
Ríkiskaup on behalf of the Icelandic Coast Guard (ICG) requests tenders regarding Multibeam Echosounder (MBES) and Subbottom Profiler (SBP) for the Icelandic Coast Guard survey vessel BALDUR.The survey vessel BALDUR was built in Vélsmiðja Seyðisfjarðar shipyard in 1991. The vessel is 21 meters long, the width is 5,2 meters and the draft is 1,8 meter. The hull and superstructure are made of aluminum. Twin engines and twin screws. 2 generators – 230VAC 50 Hz.
Current on board survey equipment:— Hull mounted Reson 8101 MBES.— Hull mounted Echotrac MK III SBES.— SVP 70 sound velocity sensor.— Applanix POS MV.— QINSy data acquisition software.— Hull mounted (moonpool) Wesmar HD800 sonar.
The new MBES and SBP transducers will be hull mounted and the plan is to have them installed to casings/seachests welded to the hull. The design, construction and installation of the casings/seachests will be made by the Icelandic Coast Guard.
