The Commission scolaire Central Québec, owner, is requesting tenders for the repair of the main entrance and gymnasium at École primaire de Valcartier located at 1748, boulevard Valcartier, St-Gabriel-de-Valcartier (Québec) G0A 4S0.

You will find attached the corresponding specification section, the tender documents and the architects' and engineers' plans. It will be possible to visit the premises upon request by contacting Benoît Sévigny.

Submissions, in sealed envelopes addressed to the undersigned, will be received at the Central Quebec School Board at the Material Resources Department until
2:00 p.m. on the 25th day of March 2021, to be opened publicly at the same place, on the same day and at the same time.

Tenders must be accompanied by a certified cheque for 10% of the tender payable to the owner, the Commission scolaire Central Québec , or a bid bond for the same amount, valid for a period of 60 days from the date of opening of tenders, and issued by a company authorized to act as legal guarantor.



This bid security must be exchanged at the signing of the contract for a performance bond and a pledge bond, materials and services bond. Where these securities are in the form of a surety bond, the amount of each shall be 50% of the contract price, and where they are in the form of a certified cheque, the amount of each shall be 10% of the contract price.
Installation work may begin on June 24, 2021 and must be completed by August 20, 2021.

Only bids from contractors with an establishment in Quebec or, where an intergovernmental agreement is applicable, in Quebec or in a province or territory covered by that agreement, and holding, where applicable, the licence required under the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B.-1.1), will be considered for the award of the contract.

Tendering companies are responsible for the choice of subcontractors, both for their solvency and for the content of their bids.

All tenders must be made in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting contracts for public bodies (R.S.Q. c. C-65.1) and the Regulation respecting construction contracts for public bodies.

The Owner does not necessarily undertake to accept the lowest or any of the bids received, nor to carry out the object of this call for tenders or any part thereof without any prejudice to the applicants.
