Mexico - Mexico - New public tender for Airport City’s master plan

Mexico City Airport Group, the state- owned company in charge of the design, finance, construction and development of the New Mexico City International Airport (GACM), announced an international tender under the format of direct invitation (reference code: IA-009KDH999-114-2016) for the development of a master plan focused on the new Airport City, which is part of the New Airport project.

The format of this tender is by direct invitation to international companies under a Free Trade Agreement scheme. In other words, only companies that come from a country that possess an FTA with Mexico will be able to participate.

Amongst the main points highlighted in the project call are the following:

• The bidder must provide legal, technical and economic documents in their proposal.
• All proposal documents must be submitted in Spanish, and figures must be presented in Mexican Pesos (MXN).
• The bidder must provide a cost project proposal.
• The bidder must prove experience of at least 10 years in similar projects.

The calendar of activities for this tender will be as follows:

Deadline to submit clarification requests - 8th September 2016
First clarification meeting - 9th September 2016
Submission and opening of proposals - 30th September 2016
Winning bidder announced - 10th October 2016
Contract signing - Within next 15 days after the winner is announced
Beginning of works - 26th October 2016
