In the course of the consolidation of the Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences, a laboratory building Geb. The building consists of 8 individual buildings which are connected by a mall. The southern parts (BT1,3,5.7) are approx. 60 m x 40 m. The northern components (BT2,4,6,8) are approx. 40 m x 40 m and are arranged behind an existing wall. The building elements each have 3 storeys (ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor). The building has a partial basement. The power supply of the building is effected as an outgoing feeder 2 x 1250 kVA for the general supply from the medium-voltage switchgear behind the canteen Geb. G. Separate transformers with 800 kVA and 500 kVA are provided for the departments of automotive engineering and high-voltage laboratory and each receive their own NSHV. All transformers are located in the basement of the building. The connection is made by empty conduit routes and house entries up to the transformer room. A client's own PV system is installed on the roof of the building and fed into the general HVAC system for the building's/user's own consumption. From the NSHV General with reactive current compensation a structured cabling of the components 1-4 via the riser shafts to the floor distribution is carried out. Components 5-8 are fed from the NSHV with a busbar in the KG of the mall to the outlets in the riser shafts and from there via cables to the floor distributors. From there each department receives its own sub-distribution. All laboratory areas receive emergency stop circuits at the entrance areas. The cable routes are systematically laid on the ceiling. The units are installed from above either on plaster or in drywall. Individual areas are provided with floor ducts to supply the devices. Partial areas receive sill channels. Lighting is provided by conductor rail systems. The external trades GA, heating, ventilation, sanitary, emergency call for the disabled, elevator, crane work, blind system, SHEVS, RA, doors, windows, blackout, access control, PV system (up to handover distribution), etc. will receive passive cabling. The data technical connection of the laboratory building is carried out from the building E computer centre to building H in LWL single mode connection. The way from the computer centre building E is via the connecting corridor between building E (seminar building) and building F (administration building), on cable routes through the cellar in building F into an empty pipe connection to the cellar of building G (canteen) and from there via the connecting corridor between building G and H into the transfer distributor with bacup server in the KG of the laboratory building. The building receives a structured data cabling FO from the transfer distributor in the basement to the data cabinets in the floors and from there a copper cabling Cat 7 to the RJ45 sockets. The building will be equipped with a comprehensive fire alarm system with a central office in the basement and 8 sub-centres in the respective components. The approach point of the fire brigade is at the north-west corner of building H for buildings G and H. The current alarm system at building G will be dismantled and will be connected to the networked control centre with a transmission device to the fire brigade from building H by means of a fibre optic connection to the networked control centre with a transmission device to the fire brigade from building H. The alarm system will be handicapped accessible via optical and acoustic signalling devices. The detectors are adapted to the respective laboratory. The safety light unit is located in the basement. It supplies 90% of the individual lights and pictograms. Only in the 2nd floor mall is the general lighting connected to the safety light unit via changeover switches. The passive cabling for the user's WLAN network must be implemented across the entire area and verified by measurements.
