This will be a multipurpose vessel capable of providing:

maritime firefighting capabilities
emergency medical service (EMS) operations, with the ability to transport injured and burned victims to medical care
search and rescue capabilities
pollution and hazardous materials response
port security patrols for fires and other hazards
an avenue for diving operations
on-scene command post
ssistance to on-shore firefighting operations, through means of specialised equipment
