Description

The Cape Breton Regional Municipality Water Utility is presently considering strategic
water system improvements for the Louisbourg Water System. These improvements
include, but are not limited to, installation of a new storage tank; replacement,
consolidation, or redesign of the transmission mains serving the former town; and
optimization of the existing distribution system.

Through the development of an innovative and creative design, the CBRM Water Utility intends to develop a master plan that will optimize the way the existing system is operated while addressing the major capital upgrades required and ensuring the system operates in the most energy efficient, cost effective, and reliable manner. The master plan will serve as a roadmap for allocation of capital funding for the next 5 to 7 years within the Louisbourg Water System.
