Sources Sought Synopsis

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the capability to support its requirement for the Logicube OmniSCSI 1 to 1 Hard Drive Duplicator (See Appendix 1). The result of this market research will contribute in determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 334111.
There is no solicitation at this time. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: 1) organization name, address, email address, website address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) tailored capability statement addressing the particulars of this effort.
The Government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services/supplies consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.
Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses or procured through full and open competition, and multiple awards may be made. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions.

APPENDIX 1: Purpose and Objectives
NSWC PHD seeks to purchase eleven (11) Logicube OmniSCSI 1 to 1 Hard Drive Duplicators [P/N: F-OMNI-SCSI1TO1]. The OmniSCSI 1 to 1 duplicators must be compatible in all aspects with existing components presently installed and are essential for continued development and test of computer software programs for the Aegis Weapon System. The OmniSCSI 1 to 1 is currently used aboard ship and possesses necessary hardware components for fleet operations. Materials being procured must match what is in the approved configuration and cannot deviate from what has been listed as required components in order to maintain communicative capability between servers and consoles that sailors use to run maintenance actions. Substitutions to the material are not allowed.
