An Indian Tier 1 manufacturer of mechanical locks is looking for technology licensing arrangement with a UK-based manufacturer of electro mechanical locks. 

The Indian partner has 8 manufacturing facilities spread across India and is a major supplier to Indian 2-wheeler manufacturers. A few years later the company would like to target the passenger car market.

The Indian automotive market has grown exponentially in the last 2 years; the current size is:

  • 2 wheelers (bikes and scooters): 17.97 million units
  • passenger cars: 4.21 million units
  • commercial vehicles: 1 million units
  • 3 wheelers: 0.5 million units
