Description
The project aims to remove waste from the area where it is temporarily stored. From the qualitative analysis of the project's interventions and the constraints on the area subject to intervention, the nature and type of impacts that the work generates on the surrounding environment, understood in its broadest sense, both during the construction phase and with the future use of the work, have been identified. All operations to remove the source of contamination will take place within the fenced ecobale storage area. Before the start of the removal works, it will be necessary to set up the area with the works necessary for the proper functioning of the site and to avoid any risk of contamination of the area. the collection and disposal of the ecobale deposited there will follow.
Pick up, transport and disposal of eco-bale deposited in Cavallino in loc. Mass. Guarini, removal of the containment works of the former quarry of aggregates, collection and disposal of leachate. Complete reclamation of the site. Before the start of the removal works it will be necessary to prepare the area with the works necessary for the proper functioning of the site and to avoid any risk of contamination of the area. Specifically, the following is expected: - construction of all works necessary for the proper management of rainwater in accordance with R.R. n. 26/2013,- construction of a shed complete with the necessary facilities for the storage and characterization of waste,- construction of an impermeable surface around the shed for the transit and handling of vehicles and the storage of material,- construction of an area for washing the wheels of vehicles leaving the plant,- interventions for the restoration of the area at the end of the works. In addition, in order to ensure optimal working conditions, it was planned to install a system of suction and treatment of air inside the shed. The sucked air will be conveyed into abatement systems before it is released into the atmosphere. The system has been designed to guarantee a number of changes per hour equal to 5 volume/hour, to ensure the installation of four aspiration systems with an aspiration capacity of 15 000 m3/h. The drainage of the eco-bale area is currently carried out through the perimeter gutter that collects the water incidentally on the waste body. This water is then conveyed into a DN 700 pipeline and sent to the treatment plant. This plant has been sized in compliance with the provisions of chapter I) of R.R. no. 26/2013. Before starting the interventions for the removal of the waste it will be necessary to adapt the existing treatment plant according to what indicated in the ED.06 Specialized rainwater report. In compliance with the provisions of the current legislation on the regulation of rainwater (R.R. of 9.12.2013, n. 26 - "Discipline of rainwater runoff and first rain"), the works necessary for the regulation of rainwater running over the intervention area for the entire duration of the worksite have been designed. In the area to the north of the plant (former ecobale depot area), a shed consisting of an aluminium alloy tent with a floor plan measuring 30 m x 50 m is planned. The paving inside the tent-structure, on which the ecobale deposit and the operations of the vehicles involved in the works will take place, will be composed as follows (from bottom to top): - roadbed (30 cm), - compacted granular mix (20 cm), - layer of sand (10 cm) with a HDPE sheet in between for safety purposes, - reinforced concrete industrial paving. The first step for the removal of the ecobale will be the removal of the layer of vegetable soil (50 cm thick) from the entire surface. Then the first four layers of sheets and geocomposites (draining geocomposite, TNT 800 g/m2, HDPE sheet 1 mm thick, bentonite geocomposite) will be removed and transported to authorized plants for disposal/recovery. The ecobale removal operations will proceed from south to north and will continue until the bottom of the former quarry. The front for the removal will be formed by 2 escarpments, with an inclination of 25o, in order to facilitate the operations of the vehicles. Removal will be carried out in daily batches of approximately 400 m3 of material. The waste removed will be transported inside the shed. The transport of the ecobale from the former quarry to the shed and from the shed to the final disposal sites will be carried out by authorised watertight vehicles.
