Description

The Contracting Authority invites tenders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation and Maintenance of Continuous Certified Inorganic Gas Analysers for the National ambient air monitoring network. A requirement for twenty-eight (28) analysers, to be replaced across EPA sites, over a period of four years). Please reference Appendix A which lists the location and addresses of each of the EPA sites. Ambient air quality instrumentation will be sited at locations around the Republic of Ireland in accordance with the requirements of the CAFE directive. Instrumentation suitable for the continuous automatic measurement of Inorganic Gases in ambient air to CAFE Directive requirements, robust and reliable performance, satisfactory service, and maintenance arrangements. The EPA has established an appropriately scaled National Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Network. The on-going procurement of automatic ambient air quality monitoring instrumentation is a key element of maintaining monitoring stations capable of providing real-time air quality information to the public. Currently there are a number of inorganic gas analysers monitoring Ozone, Nitrogen Dioxide, Sulphur Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide in the National ambient air quality monitoring network, 28 of these instruments will need to be replaced by the end of 2027. The outlined number of new analysers is to allow for analyser replacement over the analyser lifetime to ensure continuity of data across the National ambient air quality monitoring network.
