Description
The Request for Proposal (RFP) will seek solutions to support labour shortages in the construction industry by providing relevant short course training to eligible participants using the Transition to Employment Services model.
A primary component of the proposed service will be the use of Short Courses targeting in-demand occupations in the construction industry. Short Courses are a supplementary support intended to eliminate obstacles to participants obtaining employment. The Short Courses component will be essential to the success of this service. The intent will be to assist unemployed Albertans to:
• obtain Short Courses training targeting occupation(s) in the
construction industry(ies).
• develop competencies (knowledge, skills, and behaviours).
• gain occupation-related skills recognized by employers to obtain
employment in high demand occupations in the target industry.
