Janitorial Services at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Canadian Coast Guard Base at 42037 Mackenzie Hwy Hay River, NT
Contracting Period
From date of award through to July 31, 2021, with option to renew for 3 additional 1 year periods at the sole discretion of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO).
Option periods if exercised will be August 1, 2021 through to July 31, 2022 and August 1, 2022 through to July 31, 2023 and August 1, 2023 through to July 31, 2024.
Mandatory Site Visit
Mandatory Site Visit will be held on June 5, 2019 at 10:00 local time at the Fisheries and Oceans Canada Canadian Coast Guard Base, 42037 Mackenzie Hwy Hay River, NT. It is a requirement for all persons wishing to submit a bid on this project to attend this meeting at the site to familiarize themselves fully with the scope of work and the tendering requirements. The Bidder’s representative must sign an attendance list and attend the entire site visit to have their bid submission considered responsive. 
Building(s) requiring janitorial services
There are 3 buildings that need cleaning in Hay River and they are as follows:
1. Hay River CCG Administration Building – 462 sq. meters. 
2. Hay River CCG Maintenance Shop Building - 390 sq. meters
3. Hay River F & O Management Building – 819 sq. meters
Work Schedule
The contractor shall provide services for the contracting period during the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Work outside these hours will not be compensated.
Work is not to be performed on the following Statutory Holidays observed by the Federal Government: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, July 1'', Municipal holiday (1st Monday in August) Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
The Contractor will be required to provide janitorial services on Family Day (3rd Monday of February) as the Federal Government does not observe this Statutory Holiday.
Security
Bidders must have a Reliability or higher security clearance issued by CISD at time of bid closing.
